I provide editing services that meet any requirements, from a light read-through to line-by-line copy editing to proofreading for grammar and spelling.

My experience includes reviewing, editing, correcting and improving countless websites, magazine stories, journal articles, press materials, personal essays, chapters and books.

I also specialize in constructive critiques of style, structure and tone, as well as skillful consulting about design, graphics and illustrations.

Julie Goodman was recommended to me by my editor at Oxford University Press to do a close reading of my book. Julie fine-tuned my ms. with clarity and a deft touch, and enhanced, but did not alter, my own voice and tone. I trust her intelligence and editorial judgment.
